baby drake

We had a good friend take some baby pictures of Drake the other day. They turned out great. Enjoy the latest pics of our bundle.

Almost crashed...

Well, I just finished up a trip last night. As we were coming into the gate, we couldn't help but notice the aircraft parked right next to us. The captain was having a heck of a time trying to stay on the yellow line. I had to shout out to him to "STAY FOCUSED AND PARK THIS JET!!!" Just kidding, it wan't that bad, but I will admit that it got your attention. When I got home, I had to look up what the heck was going on. I guess this is the latest publicity stunt from SWA. Don't tell my Mom about this one. :) Sorry about the quality of the first picture. It didn't turn out very well so I had to upload a picture of what the plane really looks like. It's a rough job, but someone's got to do it...

This picture was taken when he was one day old. Drake has three moms in our family. I only get to hold him late at night if I outlast Heather and the girls, I swear. If he makes so much as a peep, they race each other to check on him and see how he is doing. He is almost two weeks old now (my, how time flies) and the fun of having a little brother still hasn't worn off for either one of them. They absolutely love him to pieces. I took Drake to the hospital today with Heather so we could have some blood tests done for various diseases. They have to prick his foot and then milk out four different drops of blood to do the test. He was asleep in my arms when they poked his foot. He didn't hardly even twitch and slept peacefully through the entire thing. The kid is seriously a piece of cake (so far anyway). He is happy and content 99.99% of the time, has never spit up on me (he got Heather a good one shortly after I mentioned that fact to her) and loves to be held and loved by everyone. Heather has made it painfully clear that she is in love with another man. We all love you little Drake.
